With all the books and information out on interpretation of dreams, it
seems like fun to interpret the symbols in our dreams. But, if we're
looking for something in our dreams that will give us a message or an
answer, what we're looking for seems like more of a vision.
One thing I notice about dreams and visions in the bible is that they
are very specific and awe-inspiring. They frequently start something
like, "In a dream, the Lord said..." and then the Lord said something
very specific. In visions of angels, they often start with "Don't be
afraid," because the sight of an angel is overwhelming to say the least.
The other thing that I mentioned in my previous post on dreams, Dreams, is how the dream makes you feel. In Genesis 17:1-3, the Lord appears to Abraham and his reaction
is to fall "down low on his face."
In a vision, in the presence of the Lord or His angel (messenger), I
believe one would be overwhelmed with the inclination to fall to their
knees (and possibly all the way to their face.) Visions are given not extrapolated or figured out. However, if you have a dream that brings you to your knees it would be worthwhile to seek qualified guidance on the meaning.
all the spiritual things happening, i believe you have to see the fruit, if it brings you closer to God? Cause many things are happening today...
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, roma_usa3. It is important to explore the spiritual aspects of dreams. They may open us up to God in a way that we might find harder to accept or just to perceive in our waking state.
